Responsibilities

✅ Help Ensure Compliance and Resident Success

Serve as a key resource for both residents and the community by ensuring compliance with all affordable housing regulations and program requirements. You'll review applications, determine eligibility, complete certifications and recertifications, maintain accurate resident files, and help ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.

📋 Keep Records Accurate and Organized

Manage waitlists, resident files, income certifications, annual and interim recertifications, and required regulatory reporting. Your strong attention to detail will help ensure the community remains compliant while providing excellent service to residents and applicants.

🔍 Support Compliance Excellence

Conduct regular file reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and completeness. You'll work closely with site teams and residents to identify and resolve discrepancies, helping maintain compliance with federal, state, and local affordable housing requirements.

🤝 Be a Trusted Resource

Partner with residents, applicants, community staff, and regulatory agencies to provide guidance, answer questions, and ensure a smooth certification process. Your professionalism and customer service skills will help create a positive experience for everyone involved.

Qualifications

✅ What You'll Bring to the Team

We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with people, managing complex documentation, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in affordable housing, occupancy, compliance, apartment leasing, or a related field
  • Affordable Housing (LIHTC) experience required
  • Knowledge of affordable housing certifications and recertifications
  • Valid driver's license, if required by the community
  • Experience with specialized property management software (RealPage, OneSite, and/or Yardi), or the ability to learn such software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and current technology platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple deadlines
