Overview

 

CAPREIT has an exciting remote opportunity for a Senior Operations Analyst. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for financial and operation reporting and analysis and design of overall operational enhancements to improve efficiencies. The Senior Operations Analyst must be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and work well independently and in a team environment.

Base Salary is $100,000 - $110,000K per year. CAPREIT offers full-time career track positions where employees receive numerous benefits, including a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, vacation, sick, your birthday. We also celebrate mental health days and summer fun Fridays.

Responsibilities

 Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Reviews property performance monthly to identify risks or opportunities to improve operations.
  • Monitors progress of capital and business plans.
  • Reviews Key Performance Indicators and monthly financials to identify performance issues. Identifies trends and communicate to senior leadership, as required.
  • Develops tools to enhance visibility in operational and financial performance of properties including real-time data.
  • Serves as the proposal coordinator for responses to Requests For Proposals
  • Works on specific projects for profit improvement, cost reduction and system enhancement.
  • Manages the annual budget process for all properties and the corporate entity, including streamlining the process and ensuring input/approval from stakeholders.
  • Communicates operational and financial results with stakeholders periodically.
  • Develops asset watchlist and run monthly watchlist meetings; run quarterly Asset Management review meetings with Acquisitions group.
  • Reviews and analyzes quarterly Funds Available for Distribution (FAD) schedules to meet investor expectations.
  • Builds relationships with existing and new partners and assist senior leadership with business proposals.
  • Periodically visits properties to ensure they are meeting CAPREIT’s standards and pro-forma expectations.
  • Performs other job duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in business, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Must have strong understanding of financial statements and be proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Must have the ability to understand and analyze monthly financial statements and operations reports
  • Must have experience in preparing operating and capital improvements budget.
  • The Senior Operations Analyst must have strong organization skills, ability to manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad-hoc demands.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
